Education: She completed her primary, secondary and higher secondary education in Lagos and then proceeded to the United States of America where she studied Broadcast Journalism at the Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida. She graduated in 1983 with a Bachelors degree.

Sele Eradiri was born in Lagos into the royal family of Eradiri in Agudama Ekpetiama in Bayelsa State. She returned to Nigeria after completing her Bachelors degree for her youth service. She later returned to her passion, which is broadcasting; she worked as a presenter and a reporter with the NTA. Sele Eradiri was known as the roving reporter who would make a story out of nothing. She was one of the ace reporters of Newsline, the flagship programme of NTA.
She headed the Roving Unit of NTA Network News for three years. One of her passions was the fight against HIV/AIDS which she reported on for several years. This took her to several countries where she attended several international conferences on HIV/AIDS. She is a member of the board of trustees AIDS Alliance in Nigeria, Board of Trustees of Non-Governmental Organisations of Nigeria, Benin Zone, International Aids Society, and a member of the National Committee on HIV and AIDS.
Sele Eradiri has received several commendations and awards including the among others. Before her death, she was the Assistant Director News, Lagos Network Centre.
