Court Dismisses N2billion Assault Lawsuit Against Bishop Oyedepo

We all saw the unbelievable video of a young woman getting the devil slapped out of her for saying she was a “Witch for Jesus”; following the event, a N2billion lawsuit was filed against  Bishop Oyedepo (the culprit). The N2billion lawsuit against Bishop Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Worldwide (a.k.a. Winners Chapel) was dismissed yesterday from court. Justice Ojo of the Ogun State High court dismissed the case on the grounds that the application lacked merit and that the ‘slapped lady’ remains a ghost victim. A Lagos based lawyer, Robert Igbinedion, had filed a lawsuit on behalf of a girl who was filmed being slapped by Bishop Oyedepo during a deliverance session in 2009. Mr Igbinedion failed to produce the girl, making it impossible to have a case against the Bishop.
