Rita Dominic Announces Release Date for new movie – The Meeting

The Audrey Silva Company (TASC), a company founded by Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo has confirmed the release date for the highly anticipated theatrical movie The Meeting as October 19, 2012. The movie will be distributed by Silverbird Distribution Limited, which has generated interest among film distributors in Nigeria. The romantic comedy stars Rita Dominic and Jide Kosoko and also features appearances by Kate Henshaw, Basorge Tariah, Nse Ikpe-Etim, and Chinedu Ikedieze.

Speaking about the movie, director Mildred Okwo said “We are excited about this film because it is a truly Nigerian story that cuts across borders. Anybody anywhere in the world will find something about this film they like. We are not only introducing upcoming stars in Femi Jacobs and Linda I. Ejiofor but we are also showcasing a different and dynamic Rita Dominic,”
The Meeting is directed by Mildred Okwo, written by Tunde Babalola and produced by Rita Dominic & Mildred Okwo. The story set in Abuja follows the trials of Lagos-based corporate executive Makinde Esho (Femi Jacobs) who finds himself at the mercy of political patronage, bureaucratic red tape and Cupid’s arrow while in hot pursuit of a ‘meeting’ to secure a government contract. The Meeting addresses an array of contemporary issues audiences are sure to identify with from love to African time, to the trials of tackling officials and manoeuvring red tape. It also brings together a stellar cast of Nollywood stars that are sure to draw audiences to the cinemas in October.
