Nigerian professor becomes VC of University of Illinois

Professor Ilesanmi Adesida was announced as the new Vice Chancellor of University of Illinois, USA last month. The 63 year old professor is the first black person to assume this position. Before his appointment, he was the Dean, College of Engineering at the University before the University Board of Trustees elected him as the next Vice Chancellor for Academics Affairs and Provost, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
