The Maiden Edition Of “Port Harcourt Fashion & Design Talent Hunt Show 2012” Hits Port Harcourt on November 30th
The much awaited maiden edition of Port Harcourt Fashion & Design Talent Hunt Show 2012 is slated for November 30th in Port Harcourt and organized by Wave Event Global in collaboration with Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture, PHCCIMA. The one day fashion designers talent hunt show is expected to feature male and female upcoming designers who will square up against each other in a contest to showcase their talents and creativity in the fashion and design world.
Speaking to Miss Ngozi Anyiam (08056411558), an award wining model and CEO of Wave Event Global, in her remark said the event has many interesting line ups and is targeted at promoting upcoming fashion designers in the state and the entire region with a view to exposing and providing them with a springboard to further enhance their drive for brand exposure. She said the show will be a hit and urged interested persons to take advantage of the event to shoot themselves to limelight.
Also speaking, the 2nd Deputy President of PHCCIMA, Engr. Emeka Unachukwu explained that the “Port Harcourt Fashion & Design Talent Hunt Show 2012 is an initiative that aims to promote the development and growth of creativity in the industry through nurturing, fine tuning and harnessing the skills of upcoming designers as well as providing them with a solid platform for achieving their goals. He said the event is the maiden edition and Port Harcourt chamber of commerce is passionate to ensure it turns out a huge success. “We felt it is imperative to support the project because the contest inspite of ensuring creativity at a very competitive level is also designed to open new vistas of opportunity for emerging fashion and design stars of the future.
We gathered that the winner of the event will be sponsored abroad for a fashion show, while the first and second runners up will be given an opportunity to showcase their brands in the prestigious Nigeria Fashion Week. There will be lots of industrial sewing equipments to be given away including exciting consolation prizes.
The one day contest is expected to take place on November 30th 2012, during the 8th Port Harcourt International Trade fair that will hold at Isaac Boro Park.
