Ghanian actor, John Dumelo has launched his fashion range, J.MELO. The range includes a clothing line (boxer shorts, men shirts and ladies’ bags), a jewelry line (gold, diamond, silver and beads) and hair pieces all under the brand name J.MELO, which will soon expand to include other fashion accessories such as shoes and fragrance.
The launch was attended by top Ghanaian celebrities including Majid Michel, Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, Ama K Abebrese, Yvonne Okoro, Joselyn Dumas, Yvonne Nelson, and Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot among others. According John Dumelo, he was inspired to go into the fashion industry by friends who believed that he should have his own brand. He also hinted that 20% on all sales would go toward the John Dumelo Foundation which aims to support several identifiedgroups of needy in society.
J.MELO said he intends to compete with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Versace, Sean John, Roca Wear, Dior and other international fashion designers in the near future. J.MELO has been launched in major cities including Ghana, New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, China, Lagos and South Africa. Here are a few pictures from the event.
