The ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer had just landed the top prize for her second studio album ’21’ when host James Corden was forced to ask her to make way for a performance by Blur.
She said: “I’d like to say as i got cut off during my speech for Best Album and i flung the middle finger – but that finger was to the suits at the BRIT Awards not to my fans.
Adele was right in the middle of giving an emotional acceptance speech about how she was proud to be flying the flag for Britain. She was about to thank the British public for all of their support before she got cut off. She says “I’m sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me.”
The singer also picked up the prize for Best Female Solo Artist on the night and made her live UK return with a rendition of ‘Rolling In The Deep’ following throat surgery last November.
