Chris Brown Diagnosed With Bipolar Disorder, PTSD and Insomnia

Talented American singer, Chris Brown, has been known to exhibit bad and violent behaviour in the past. He has been to Rehabilitation centres several times, he has also had brushes with the law, a couple of times. Many wondered about his bad behaviour without knowing what could have caused it, but now it has finally been diagnosed that Chris  has a mental health illness called Bipolar Disorder. He also suffers from Insomnia and  Post Traumatic stress Disorder(PTSD).The singer’s diagnosis comes as he completes 95 days of anger management therapy.

Chris Brown appeared in court yesterday (Feb. 28th)  in relation to a progress hearing regarding the probation he received for mercilessly beating Rihanna in 2009.

According to court documents at yesterday’s hearing, Chris’ rehab facility has diagnosed him with “Bipolar II Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome, insomnia and self-medicating,”

A doctor at the Rehab facility had this to say:

“Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).”
