Sonia Ike,Miss Black Africa UK, Pays Official Courtesy Visit To Imo State Governor, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha
Reigning Miss Black Africa and international model, Sonia Ike, is currently in Nigeria with her team to carry out a charity project in Imo State, her home state. Her mission is to refurbish two primary schools in Ideato South Local Government. She is the first Nigerian to win the coveted Miss Black Africa title.
Sonia Ike also paid a courtesy visit on Monday, 10th of March 2014, to the Governor of Imo state, His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha. A press conference held at the Government House, Owerri, with the Commissioner for Information and Chief of Staff Present. Here are some photos from the event:
Dele Onabowu, The Miss Black Africa Director, said that he is very grateful to His Excellency, the Governor for hosting the entire Miss Black Africa team for the duration of their stay. This is because the Governor provided transport, accommodation and security for the team.
Sonia became Miss Black Africa UK 2013 being the Judges choice which included actress Ini Edo, Designer Adebayo Jones and talk Show host, Sporah Njau.
The Miss Black Africa pageant which is open to ladies of sub Saharan African origin has been the recipient of the BEFFTA Best Beauty Pageant in the UK for 2012 and 2013.
