Nollywood To Start Participating In The Oscars From 2015; Nigerian Oscar Committee Inaugurated!


The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), has approved a twelve-man committee of Nollywood stakeholders, named the Nigerian Oscars Selection Committee (NOSC), to pave the way for Nigerian film entries to be considered , ahead of the 2015 Oscars.

The twelve-man committee is to submit one Nollywood movie each year from 2015 for the Oscars. Members of the committee include- Chineze Anyaene, Ngozi Okafor, Olumide Amure, Ramsey Nouah, Kene Mkparu, Emeka Mba, Chioma Ude, Akin Salami, Mildred Okwo, Biola Alabi, Charles Novia and Shaibu Husseini. Chineze Anyaene, is the NOSC chairperson!
