Funmi Iyanda’s climb to Mountain Kilimanjaro

Award winning producer and broadcast journalist, Funmi Iyanda,  joined other climbers from 32 different countries on a 5day UN advocacy historic climb up Mountain Kilimanjaro. The climb was organized by the UN to raise global awareness on its campaign to End Violence against Women and Girls. Funmi described the climb as a challenging indescribable experience and spoke of how she suffered from vomiting, diarrhoea, sleep apnea and dizziness and also how she nearly died.
