Mercy emerged as the winner of the second season of Nigerian Idol. Mercy defeated first runner-up, Joe Blue at the Grand Finale of the show held yesterday at the Dream Studio and walked away with the top prize, which includes an SUV jeep, a recording contract, and a cash prize of $100,000

The 12 finalists were not left out at the grand finale as they rendered the Nigerian National Anthem, which was followed by a performance from Wizkid, W4 and Chuddy K. The judges; Yinka Davies, Jeffery Daniels and Charly Boy commended the outstanding and brilliant performances displayed by Mercy and Joe Blue throughout the TV reality show.
