We must all agree that there are cars and there are CARS and we all know the size of our coat; I don’t know about you but I am hoping to eat my way into an XXXXXXL coat pretty soon after a glimpse of the New Porsche 911 Carrera: Porsche Identity. German luxury sports car-maker Porsche launched a show room in the heart of Lagos joining the likes of Italy’s Lamborghini and Britain’s Aston Martin car dealerships to hit Nigeria.
During the opening party, the latest Porsche 911 Carrera – Porsche Identity (pronounced Porsche Nine Eleven) worth ₦20.099.600 was unveiled at Porsche Centre Lagos. This is what Julian Harding, the General Manager of Porsche Centre Lagos had to say.
Today is a very special day for the entire Porsche Centre Lagos team. We are very proud to launch the Porsche brand in the Nigerian market. From our modern facility we will be able to meet our customer’s demand for high-quality products and services.
The company has been in operation in Lagos since last July and, although it did not disclose the number of cars it had sold since then, it estimates that 200 Nigerians own Porsches. It hopes to sell 100 cars this year while its long-term target is to sell about 300 annually. Current prices for Porsches in Nigeria range from 21 million naira to 30 million naira.
The guests were treated to a night of extreme pleasure with constant refills of Champagne, a performance from Chidinma and a lovely dance act as the waited anxiously for the finale: unveiling of the Porsche Identity; and Believe me they were not disappointed. The event held at the Porsche Centre Lagos, 179 Akin Adesola/Kofo Abayomi St, Victoria Island.
Here are pictures from the event. Enjoy!
