Time Magazine names Goodluck Jonathan as one of the Most Influential People In The World

US weekly news magazine, TIME has named Nigerian President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan amongst its 100 Most Influential People in the World. The list was released on Wednesday, the 18th of April, 2012 on the magazine’s official website and lists President Goodluck Jonathan behind US President, Barrack Obama. Ranked number one on the list was US professional basketball player with the New York Knicks, Jeremy Lin. Reacting to this, President Goodluck Jonathan posted the following message on his Facebook wall.
Others, who made the top ten include Tim Tebow (US football quarterback for the New York Jets), pop star Rihanna, Adele, African-American Academy Award nominee Viola Davis, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) & Pippa Middleton, Sarah Burton (designer of Kate Middleton’s wedding dress), Footballer Lionel Messi, tennis player Novak Djokovicj, Stephen Colbert, Kristen Wiig, and hackers’ group Anonymous.
