How Davido Caused Olamide and Don Jazzy Beef

The feud between Olamide and Don Jazzy may not be as fresh as it seems, as there seems to be an indication that third parties may have fueled the rivalry.

Hints are beginning to emerge that Davido may have instigated the clash between Olamide and Don Jazzy at the Headies Awards.

In a tweet, the ‘Omo Baba Lowo’ posted about two months ago, he had openly expressed his support for Lil Kesh to pick up the controversial ‘Next Rated Artiste’ award over all the other contenders in the same category.

Not only did he tip Lil’ Kesh for the award, he suggested Olamide and the rest of the YBNL team pull a ‘Kanye West’ stunt if they don’t get the award.

What the ‘Aye’ crooner actually meant by a ‘Kanye West’ stunt is the US rapper’s usual confrontational character when he feels cheated over an award.

Several times at award ceremonies, Kanye West has openly voiced out his opinion on him or his affiliates being robbed of awards.

In his recent stunt, West made headlines when he took the stage to interrupt singer, Taylor Swift who was receiving an award for Best Female Video at the Video Music Awards. Mr West stormed the stage and took the mic from a surprised Swift before protesting in support of Beyonce who he believed deserved the award.

From the foregoing, it is no doubt that a usually quiet Olamide did take Davido’s advise and did pull a ‘Kanye West’ stunt on the award organisers, which was also misunderstood for a grievance against the Mavin Record team, leading to series of Twitter rants.
